Rainy days and cupcakes

It was a dark and gloomy morning. The whole house was quiet until the late hours of the morning. A groggy Princess Rosemary woke up and wandered into the living room. Too wet and dreary for our morning walk, Queen Mommy made the executive decision to stay in pajamas all day. Around noon the noble queen decided an activity would be nice (nevermind that by then the sun had come up and it was a beautiful day, the decision had been made that today was a pajama day). The queen mum (aka Grandma) gifted the royal family a Babycakes cupcake maker for Christmas and it was the perfect day to experiment.

Here's Princess Rosemary (in her royal nighty) proudly showing off her strawberry cupcake!

Can I PLEASE eat it?! Take the picture already!

After they cooled, they were frosted (my first attempt at homemade icing, YUM). Plenty of icing remained after the cupcakes were frosted, so I scoured the cupboard and found Nilla Wafers and gingerbread graham crackers that we made sandwiches out of and put them in the freezer. YUM!

They are good. VERY good.

Oh, and we did remain in pajamas until around 3:00. I got spit up aimed directly down my shirt by a giggling prince and had to change and the princess put on her Cinderella dress after rest time.
